Olly Alexander - Polari

I dagarna fick jag hem Olly Alexanders första soloalbum "Polari" och jag fullkomligt älskar det. Precis som jag hoppats består albumet av elektronisk popmusik som doftar åttiotal. Med finns den grymma Eurovisionlåten "Dizzy", samt singlarna "Cupid's Bow" och "When We Kiss".

Kim Wilde - Closer (2025)

I dagarna fick jag äntligen hem min idol Kim Wildes nya album "Closer" (2025). Hennes röst är verkligen unik. Mitt favoritspår är förstås den dansanta "Love Is Love" och jag önskar att hon en dag släppte ett helt dancealbum.

"Closer" består av tio spår, till exempel hitsinglarna "Trail Of Destruction" och "Midnight Train".

Eurotix - Pause Music (Nytt album)

Mitt och Larry Forsbergs synthpopprojekt Eurotix har äntligen släppt vårt nya album "Pause Music". Efter flera år av tystnad är vi stolta och glada att ni äntligen får höra dessa låtar. Albumet finns digitalt på Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music och så vidare. Vi skulle bli så glada om ni tog er tid att lyssna.

Albumet innehåller bland annat den tidigare singeln "The Stupid Ones", skriven när galningen Trump blev president första gången, samt den kommande singeln "Distant Light" som handlar om Titanics undergång. Vi hoppas att ni kommer gilla det ni hör.

Larry skrev några rader om nya albumet (på engelska):

For a little while the world seemed almost normal. And we seized the opportunity. That brief period between the pandemic and Mr. Putin's invasion of Ukraine gave Dennis and me some breathing space, a pause from the madness, and a chance to start working on a new album. Since our last proper album, "Pop", I had written twenty-four new songs to record. Twelve of those were intended for the next album, whereas the other 12 would be released as B-sides.

The first songs to be recorded – and indeed the only ones to be released – from these sessions were "The Stupid Ones" and "Tom Jones", both included on our last EP to date in October 2021.

The next EP, "Delicate Situation", was scheduled for a March 2022 release. Everything but the artwork was ready when we heard of Putin's invasion of Ukraine. And that was the end of that. It suddenly felt blasphemous to release a song about humanity "moving in the right direction". After a week or so of shock I wrote a complete new set of lyrics (more pessimistic this time), still intent on releasing the song. But before we got around to record it a bucket load of shit hit both our fans, and we had to abort the sessions.

I was still intent on completing the album once our personal matters were settled. But it was not to be. What was recorded during that brief pause was a handful of album tracks, and a handful of B-sides. That's all. But what was recorded is much too good to just be buried on hard disc drives in my studio.

So, ladies and gentlemen, here it is; every song recorded or remixed by Eurotix August 2021-January 2022. This is not the album we intended to make - but I hope you will agree that together these songs still make up a pretty good album of Pause Music."
